Jake James, Former Finance Major Turned Rapper Releases New Single “Dead Friends”

Jake James is an Upstate, NY native who decided to leave the corporate world to pursue a career in music. Jake decided to follow his parents dreams, headed off to college and earned his Finance degree. After graduating from college and joining the corporate world, Jake met his now manager; who guided him to pursue his musical career. As a true New Yorker, Jake’s music inspirations includes artists such as Jay-Z, Biggie and Jadakiss.

Today he’s here with the release of his new banger “Dead Friends” and an interestingly fun video to match. One can see Jake working his 9-5; teaching “Finance 101” but not to the company’s standard which leads him behind bars. The heavy bass bouncy record is an instant attention grabber as Jake uses his witty rap skills to capture listeners. He’s one of the few up and coming artists who’s bringing back video concepts.

After fans listen to his new single “Dead Friends” they will be able to see a different side to him. You know how they say “you can’t judge a book by its cover”, Jake is a prime example of this type of pre-judgement. He may be a clean cut professional with a sleek hairstyle by day James is a rapper by night and his bars are undeniable! Taking a different approach to the music industry as an artist, Jake wants to make sure his fans are receiving the full image. This image will consist of Jake James bridging the gap between the corporate world and Hip-Hop.
