Beyoncé Sings For The Culture On Her Newest Song, “BLACK PARADE”

To celebrate Juneteenth and honor black excellence, Beyoncé releases her first single of 2020 titled, “BLACK PARADE”. Produced by Beyoncé and Derk Dixie, the anthemic single is filled with marching band instrumentals mixed with traditional African musical elements and heritage references.

On “BLACK PARADE” Queen Bey voices her support for black art, businesses, fashion, and people as she sings for the culture. Accompanying this release, Beyonce announced that the royalties from the single will be donated to her BeyGOOD Black Business Impact Fund.

Aside from supporting black culture, “BLACK PARADE” also reminds listeners about the issues the black community faces as she mentions social and civil rights activists such as Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and Tamika Mallory. Beyoncé has recently contributed to these causes outside of music, such as urging fans to sign petitions, penning a letter to Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron calling for the firing and arrest of the officers who killed Breonna Taylor. Overall, with “BLACK PARADE”’s powerful tone and message that it sends, the song serves as a tribute to black culture and it’s origins.

“BLACK PARADE” is available on all platforms, as well as two additional exclusive versions on TIDAL.
