Less than 3 years into the hip-hop industry and only 21 years old, Trippie Redd debuted his most recent album “Pegasus” on October 30, 2020. Prior to this, Trippie gave us a sneak peak of what the project would look like with his hit single “Excitement” in May 2020 featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR. This was all after “A Love Letter to You 4”, when he received his first #1 album to ever be listed on the Billboard 200 chart.

The “Pegasus” track list consists of 26 songs, creating 74 minutes of artwork. 12 of which contain features from various top artists in the rap game. One of Trippie’s biggest assets and contributions to the industry is his ability to be versatile. His first few songs begin more slow paced with more romantic lyrics. Meanwhile, the final few songs of the project are turnt sped up sounds. He has high-profile collabs on the album with artists such as Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Future, Young Thug, Swae Lee, Quavo, Sean Kingston, and more. With a little under 11.5 million followers on Instagram, Trippie’s fan base is up and growing.

Where he stands today…

As of November 7th, 2020, Trippie tied with Drake at 33 for most entries on US Spotify Charts in 2020. With 11 artists in front of him, Trippie is one of two of the youngest on the list. NBA Youngboy (21) is the only other artist his age on the list. The only other young males on the list are the late Juice Wrld (21), and the late Pop Smoke (20). An hour and 14-minute track list that gives you everything from sentimental, emotional to upbeat and energetic. As an artist, Trippie Redd seems to have the “rockstar” in him.

From his carefree personality to his physical looks, to unique voice and ad-libs, Trippie is not someone you forget. His music is identified as a mixture of emo-rap and rock which give him his uniqueness. His fans seem to approve of his style as they patiently await the promised deluxe. Despite being a young star, he continues to prove he has what it takes, yet still has a long way to go. His collaborations and features with others keep him relevant and working. His work is definitely worth listening to, new and old hits. He has shown he is not one you should count out in the hip-hop industry.
