Jay Montana Is “Taking It Back” On His New Track

Jay Montana is back with a new video to this single “Taking It Back”. Moreover, that ends a two-month hiatus that saw the prolific young artist take a break from releasing. He is now back in project-mode, teasing a mixtape for the last several weeks now. “Taking It Back” features production from the architect of the Mobile sound, Al Geno. He is a big reason for the acoustic-driven instrumentals that his city’s sound has become synonymous with.

This is one of Montana’s best performances yet as a vocalist and lyricist and laces the entire track with clever bars and introspective lyrics, and the director and editor, Shifty, did a great job bringing the visual to life by highlighting some of the track’s most memorable lyrics within the video. Shifty is arguably the most exciting new videographer in the Atlanta scene, bursting onto everyone’s radar after just a couple of months shooting videos because of his excellent output and attention to detail. Jay Montana has the “IT factor” that you cannot teach. This is what music is all about. Taking a small city MC and turning him into a big-time star.

Keep an eye out for Jay Montana’s forthcoming project The Vulture 2 and keep streaming “Taking It Back” in the meantime!
