Curren$y has recently unveiled a new album produced by Ski beats: Pilot talk 4.
Curren$y new release is remarkably diverse. Highlighting the artist’s versatility and his ability to combine different influences under one roof so seamlessly. The opening track, “Big Game Fishing,” features a smooth introduction. This leads into a very groove-driven beat, reminiscent of old-school legends. The legends are similar to Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, or Wu-Tang Clan, only with a more melodic flair.
Other highlights include “Memory Lane,” one of the biggest songs on the album in terms of melody and arrangement. The beat has a 3-dimensional quality to it, and the different layers of vocals and harmonies make for an interesting vibe. Curren$y collaboration with Jay Electronica, AD6, is another great taste of the varied sound and artistry that fans can expect from this amazing studio album. This well-produced album brings out the artist’s personality, through a production vibe that feels complex, yet direct at the same time.
This project is by far a masterpiece for all hip-hop lovers looking for something new and beautiful.
By far the best album to drop this year.
