Nokki Cabrera has released her highly-anticipated debut EP Trap Salsa. Like the title suggests, her project is her offering both sides of herself. Moreover, cultures with her being a first-generation Cuban-American. Cabrera is now based in Los Angeles. She is truly just getting started as this project puts her versatility and fun personality on display in just one listen.
“Trap resembles my American side and Salsa resembles my Cuban side,” she explained when talking about her debut. She also wants her fans to know that she is hoping that her project uplifts the people in her home country. Moreover, she is very optimistic and say her project is a reminder of who they are.

Each of the six songs on the Trap Salsa EP do a great job of showing Cabrera’s creativity. Moreover, her versatility and personal style as an artist and are a solid introduction of the Tampa, Florida native to listeners. She also excels at blending two genres together that most people have not heard in tandem. Growing up and gaining inspiration through listening to singers such as Celia Cruz, Selena Quintanilla, and Rihanna. Cabrera’s vocal ability and versatility are what make her such a standout artist. Whether on the dance-inducing “Beso” where Cabrera gets flirty and sensual or the drill beat and horn-infused “Deseo,” Trap Salsa will appeal to a variety of audiences.
