Canadian vocalist $ire releases his debut EP Catching Fire with features from Top5 from the Drake & 40 led OVO Camp. Moreover, with an R&B-Pop vibe, the 9-track EP is a compilation of $ire’s passion, emotional journey and experiences, all packaged into one easy-listening project.
“This project has something for everyone. It can be listened front to back or back to front, preferably in one sitting,” says $ire. I could not agree anymore with this statement. The project is diverse but consistent. $ire’s viewpoint is strong but not overbearing. Moreover, he has much to offer to the music industry. This is just the beginning. Catching Fire will prove to be $ire’s version of “Comeback Season.”
The rising artist $ire hails from Northern Ontario. He grew up in the small urban town of Timmins, home of Shania Twain. Therefore, $ire’s passionate flow entrances you as he interlaces in accounts of his life. Also, the Canadian vocalist is effortlessly fresh. Listeners can feel the certainty coming through in his music. Lastly, $ire’s infectious auto-tune voice blended with a divided out psychedelia is sure to capture your ear.
The album starts with the smooth but strong single “Memory Lane.” The track let’s all of his hater know that if they were mad before, it will only get worst in the future. The project then flows into some more melodic tracks with impressive guest spots from J. Kord and Ruben Ocean respectively. Songs like “Summer Vibe” and “Cut Me Deep” provide moments that you can only get from an artist like $ire. For me, “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Top5 is the one. Catching Fire is the perfect blend of every popular sound that is running the industry today.
Check out $ire’s latest effort and see why he has been all the rage in Canada.
