A Visual Feast in Drake and J. Cole’s Latest Collaboration

Drake and J. Cole have released the highly anticipated music video for their collaborative track, “First Person Shooter.” The video, directed by Gibson Hazard, was unveiled on Wednesday, November 15, and is filled with a plethora of pop culture nods.

The narrative starts with a cameo from Brian Baumgartner of The Office fame, who is depicted answering a call from “The CEO” before returning to his video game. The scene quickly shifts to a broom closet, revealing Cole and Drake engaged in an intense ping-pong game. This friendly competition escalates into a grand table tennis showdown, drawing in a global audience, with Drake scoring the winning point.

Next, the video cleverly transitions to a chess scene featuring the North Carolina rapper, followed by Drake and Cole mimicking the famous Louis Vuitton ad pose of soccer legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. The pair then appears in a boxing ring for a mock statistical face-off.

The competitive theme continues as Drake and J. Cole engage in a three-point basketball shootout, donning Spider-Man costumes reminiscent of Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland. They even recreate the iconic Spider-Man pointing meme, complete with Mike Breen’s famous “BANG!” commentary.

The video takes another turn as Drake heads to Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, accompanied by a group of dogs. Upon reaching the CN Tower, he pays tribute to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean,” with a dance sequence where the ground lights up under his feet.
