Big Jade Is Alamo’s New Firecracker MC

Big Jade

Big Jade is just further proof that everything is bigger in Texas. With not many A-list stars from Beaumont, she is creating a path of her own. Her raw bars and creativity show in more ways than one. As a bisexual single mother, it’s clear that she is unique in her own right. Jade has always been a hustler. She still does hair when she is not burning down the mic in a studio. The fast-rising rapper teamed up with fellow artists from the lone star state on her debut project, Pressure. Erica Banks, OMB Bloodbath, and club legend BeatKing all came to help create some smashes on this album.

Big Jade proves her confidence is the main ingredient in her recipe for success. If she keeps up with her lyrical prowess and charisma, she will soon be at the top of the game. Tracks like “Up Now” show why she is not to be messed with. For me, a great rapper has to be a little cocky. Jade knows she’s the shit, and that is why her album is so enjoyable. Big Jade is the type of rapper you can listen to all day. Our latest interview talked about her unique perspective, new album, and Texas roots.

Take a look here!

AD: First things first, please introduce yourself to those who do not know who Big Jade is?

BJ: I’m Big Jade from big money Texas. Big Jade take your N*gga or Your B*tch.

AD: You were born in Beaumont, TX! From my understanding, you are one of the first to blow from there. Talk about what that means to you!

BJ: It means that I have to be the one to do it hard, it’s go time! It’s TIME time!! It means Jade Wins.

AD: You and Beatking created a moment for Texas with this LP. Can we expect more work from him after this dope project?

BJ: For sure! We locked in, that’s my brother.

AD: Texas is pandemic proof it seems. Can you talk about what it’s been like having your ascension during such a weird time?

BJ: It’s definitely COVID in texas, I was never doing this before covid so I don’t feel any kind of way. We still outside, we still are going to clubs and everything. This was a time for sink or swim and it warms my heart to know I swam through this motherfucker.

AD: Your debut project has some solid names on there like OMB Bloodbath & Erica Banks. Do you have any other dream collaborations?

AD: If you had dinner and could only invite 5 people whose work you enjoy(DOA) who would those people be?

BJ: Eminem, Mystikal, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, and ofcourse Rihanna.

AD: What inspired your sound?

BJ: I never looked past my city, so people in my city inspired my sound. Like I feel like I sound like some other rappers from my city that no one knows, but I know. My music is influenced by people in my city because that’s who I’m seeing.

AD: Your come-up as Big Jade was mainly from freestyles on social media. When did you realize that you were gaining some traction?

BJ: When Tino my A&R hit me up during evacuation and Dej Loaf and Kaash Paige messaged me, Lil Baby commented on my shit like yeah okay my shit is going up.

AD: Your brand is extremely authentic. How important is it to remain real in an industry that tends to be?

BJ: I feel like bc where i come from no one ever made it, so it’s important for me to be myself so kids see me and know its okay to be whatever they want, they dont have to do this and that to be a rapper or be cool.

AD: Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years?

BJ: Shitttt a big ass house with a pool, in 3 years we fucking over the game!
