M.Anifest The Award-Winning Ghanaian Rhymer

Following up on his latest collaboration with Grammy Award nominee and activist Vic Mensa, award-winning Ghanaian rap artist M.ANIFEST is back with more music! The Ghanaian rap veteran and UNICEF ambassador M.ANIFEST is excited to reveal his brand new single titled ‘CONFUSION’.

M.anifest Is Back!

On the back of his single titled “No Fear” featuring Vic Mensa, their collaborative single has already surpassed a quarter million plays and counting. In addition, the single is set to be the precursor to his highly anticipated fifth studio album. With the summer release looming closer, there’s no time to let up now!

His brand new single is produced by MOBO Award nominated artist and producer JULS (GoldLink, Kojey Radical, Pa Salieu, Ms. Banks). There’s additional instrumentation by Elias Jordan Atkinson (Blue Lab Beats, Ezra Collective) and Efeoghene Alloh (Asa, Odunsi The Engine, Lady Donli).

From the start, rich in musicality, the enticing acoustic bed of hip-hop and afrobeats blended seamlessly together. Its lush guitar licks and rhythm drums come as the core elements of the alluring record.

There’s No “Confusion” About The Inspiration

M.anifest’s captivating wordplay, confident cadence, and irresistible melodic rap flow drive “Confusion”. Above all he weaves an intriguing tale about the beautiful chaos of living in a modern African city like Accra. However, according to M.anifest…

“Such is the paradox of life in our cities, that there is always a constant tension between the feeling of ‘hurry hurry’ and ‘ok wait.”

Furthermore, when speaking upon the inspiration for his latest release, the Ghanaian rhymer goes on to say:

Juls and I linked up in London to record ‘Confusion’. I had this strong urge to take an almost opposite approach. To the happy guitars and triumphant horns. It’s what makes ‘Confusion’ compelling. The musical canvas is somewhat jovial, but the ideas laid on it are stark and brutally honest about real life. The line, ‘No money dey but they all pray hard / even outlaws are down by law, No GPS but they all explore’, sums up the message behind the song perfectly”.

M.anifest Dominates The African Music Industry

In fact, having released six critically acclaimed albums, M.anifest is one of the most respected figures in the African music industry. Throughout his music career he has garnered numerous awards and amassed over three million followers on social media. In like fashion, his musical scope extends beyond Africa. He has collaborations ranging from Damon Albarn and Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ Flea, to Erykah Badu and Tigga Da Author, to Kojey Radical and Burna Kid, to name a few.
