Peep the dope sit-down below!

Ahmad Davis: First things first, please introduce Luh Kel to those who do not know who you are?

Luh Kel: I’m Luh Kel! I’m an 18 year-old R&B recording artist from St. Louis, Missouri.

AD: St. Louis hasn’t seen a music star this big since Nelly & Smino. Explain what your area means to you?

LK: To me, it means I can be the one to keep that legacy alive for the city and it inspires me to grind even harder.

AD: You have been on the Billboard charts and received multiple plaques in such a short time. What moment sticks out to you the most?

LK: Definitely going on tour with Polo G. I miss doing live shows but we’re almost back.

AD: Your new record “F Love” is a smash! Tell us how the record came about?

LK: I was on an LA recording trip and in my studio session, I was humming a melody that ended up being “F Love” on my phone. It was catchy so recorded it. Everyone in the studio was vibing to it, I knew it was a hit.

AD: Although it’s a pandemic, you still have been able to perform in some virtual shows. Can you discuss how that has been going and explain the differences between that and in-person shows?

LK: It’s really different because I’m not performing in front of a real crowd, but I still give it my all every time out there.

AD: You have worked with Lil Tjay, Trippie Redd, and even Queen Naija. Do you have any other dream collaborations?

LK: I want collaborate with Justin Bieber. I can see us doing a great song together.

AD: If you had dinner and could only invite 5 people whose work you enjoy (DOA) who would those people be?

LK: Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Elvis Presley, and Ariana Grande.

AD: What inspired your sound?

LK: Growing up, I listened to a lot of Chris Brown and Michael Jackson

AD: Many people feel like being in a relationship is not “cool” but you speak proudly about love. How do you come up with your subject matter?

LK: I like love; I grew up around it, listened to music about it nonstop, so it’s like already in me to speak and write music about it.

LK: Yes, I keep myself centered by staying focus, and staying in the studio to express my feelings.

LK: I see myself on top of the world! I want to be the biggest artist in the game.
